For an old friend Rosemary

I found out recently that an old friend whom I have not met for more than 20 years is suffering from terminal cancer.
I have been told she's very positive about a very negative stage in her life. Doctors are quite realistic about her condition and Rosemary in turn has accepted what must be faced with courage.
And she has exhibited tremendous amounts of courage. May the good Lord shine light up the path on which she's walking right now. And that the smile on her face now will always be there forevermore.

For the millions of faceless victims of AIDS in Africa

It is not a well advertised fact that in the African continent today, there are literally millions who are dying of AIDS.
In five years from now, the death toll will climb dramatically. We are all praying that their suffering will be light and perhaps a cure will be found in due course.
In the meantime, for AIDS victims in Africa who are living from day to day, may the light continue to shine on a very dark chapter in their lives.
We will continue to fan the glowing ember of hope for these millions of faceless victims.

Living victims of Chernobyl

It has been 20 years since the Chernobyl meltdown took place. In its wake are tens of thousands who are suffering from the radiation fallout.
A special prayer goes out to the young and old who walked on that terrible path 20 years ago and are still paying a heavy price for it.

A Prayer for Whitney Huston

ALL of us have faced some life-altering crisises at some stage in our lives. For that wonderful singer Whitney, her present predicament must surely be one of the most challenging she has ever faced and is still facing.
A prayer goes out to her and her family who are walking down that long, dark tunnel. May the light at the end guides her home and be whole again.
