Restoring peace and stability to East Timor

Thinking of all the women and children in East Timor. Currently, the conflict that is raging in that country has brought some dark hours to the lives of many innocent people.

We all hope and pray that the young and old are spared from the wave of pain and suffering that is sweeping across their land.

For the people in Darfur, Sudan

A war has been going on for years in Sudan which is no stranger to acute human suffering and starvation.

A large part of the world is ignorant of the dire circumstances that prevailed in the very troubled African nation.

Civil unrest and wanton killings have been going on for years. Children are recruited by opposing forces and are taught to kill in exchanged for food and water.

May their suffering and plight end in the most compassionate way.

For the quake victims in Yogjakarta

IT has been about 24 hours since th 6.2 earthquake in Jogjakarta on the island of Java. The death toll has exceeded 3,000 and is still climbing.

At this dark hour in Jogja, we pray for the speed recovery of buried bodies and the victims who have suffered tremendous losses.

May the international aid as well as those in their own country be swift and massive.
