Praying for the safety of war correspondents
Recently, a journalist was killed in Somalia. He's another newsman who had given his life for the cause of his profession.
All over the world, in conflict situations, journalists are regularly embedded with UN and other military forces. They constantly live from day to day. For a number of them, they never return home alive.
Journalism is not a well paid profession nor is it the safest. We pray for these brave men and women who toiled so that others can get to the truth of the matter.

The innocent victims of senseless killings
The suicide bombings continue throughout Iraq. Each day of these violent and senseless acts of desperate people claim more innocent lives, especially women and children.
We shall remember them in our prayers, for they too, like all of us, have families who will carry the great burden of sorrow with them for the rest of their lives.
We also pray for the innocent victims of relentless fighting in some towns in Sri Lanka. It has been going on for about 20 years without few signs of slowing down. For the women, children and the aged, our prayers will fly forth.
All lives are precious. Not to be forgotten are the troubled souls in Somalia which is currently in the thoes of struggle and disorder. A prayer for a very troubled nation.
