China quake toll now exceeds 60,000

Millions of lives have been affected by the severe earthquake recently. Death stalks the Sichuan province and its surrounding areas.

All prayers and kind thoughts are needed to alleviate the suffering of the victims.

Parents who have not lost a child don't know what it's like to feel the pain of losing their only child. In China now, there are thousands of parents mourning the loss of their only child.
This phenomenon several thousands of times. The sorrow and misery is almost unimaginable. Feel their misery and pray for them.

Prayers for a troubled land - Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe has lately been having its fair share of media time, all because the election results have not been satisfactory to the parties affected.

Bad feelings abound in Zimbabwe. The opposition and the ruling government don't seem to be able to find a peaceful solution to a 45-year-old problem.

We all say a prayer for this very troubled land and hope peace and harmony will reign again in their beautiful country.

Let the planes come through in Burma

Even as these lines are being penned, the scale of the cyclone disaster in Burma mounts. The military junta is terribly slow in accepting outside aid.
The people of Burma are desperate for food and medicine. We all share in their sorrow and pain.
May the good works of other nations be allowed to be carried into Burma for the good of its people.

Tears and fears for quake victims in China

The death toll is rising in Sichuan and Chengdu areas. At last count, the number of casualties is expected to exceed 50,000.

In their hour of sorrow, we pray along with thousands of people who are affected by this natural disaster.

Afghanistan trudges along laboriously

Since the 70s, Afghanistan has known nothing but endless gunbattles. Its people are tired and are stricken by all manners of hardship, unknown to many people around the world.

We send our positive thoughts to these suffering people. May they walk into the light and be alleviated from their misery and pain.

May the Light shine ove Gaza

For decades this land which Jesus once called his own has been besieged by bombs and hunger.

We pray that these people will see better and brighter days ahead.

For troubled Somalia

The fighting continues in Somalia. Many are fleeing their homes.
Suffering has become very much part of the landscape.

We pray for that the pain and sorrow will make their exit from a very troubled land.

Sparing a thought for the Myanmar people

Cyclone Nargis has wreaked havoc in Myanmar's Irrawaddy Delta. The death toll is 22,000 and rising.

One million homeless. The situation is desperate and 41,000 made homeless. We pray for the easing of these cyclone victims' suffering and hardship. May their days be less and less burdensome.
