A Prayer on the Wing of Hope for Philippines' mudslide victims

As of now, February 18, 2006, there are 1,800 victims of the catastrophic mudslide in the Philippines. The death toll is likely to rise above 2,500. Bodies are still being found and the rescue teams have their hands full despite working around the clock.
Across the globe in the most unexpected places, extreme weather conditions are taking place with rapidity and with great risks to inhabitants who stay in harm's way.
For the present, we shall pray for the Philippines mudslide victims. Each life as precious as the next because behind every face, there's a name, and each name carries with it relatives, family members, loved ones, colleagues and friends.
We are not alone on this planet no matter what colour of skin we are born with. It doesn't matter what our social station is nor is it important how much money we have accumulated in the bank or how much we have stashed away at home, a life is a life.
Nobody is overlooked. Each and every single individual is a spirit encased in a body. We are all spirits free to roam the earth and free to do as we please. However in the end, each one is not less than another in any circumstances.
We are all children of God and in that spirit we shall pray for our fallen brothers and sisters, victims of a tragedy beyond their control.
